Hello! Thank you for viewing my sound design demo reel. This was created as a student project for my university to showcase my skills in linear & non-linear sound design. Unity was gracious enough to allow us to use The Blacksmith video & gameplay assets for our class project in which we were tasked with design all of the sound effects heard in the demo reel.

It was a rather simple process. I started off with some field recording to get the desired ambiance for the demo as well as any potential stingers or other background sounds that could be useful in the demo. I then moved onto the footsteps, I also utilized some sound effect library's for sounds I couldn't record myself. Using Pro Tools I edited & created all of the SFX heard in the demo reel, consisting of a lot of pitch adjustment as well as automation. I chose to record my own voice for the ADR sections using pitch bend I lowered my voice 2 tones down to achieve what I believe is a good match for the look of the titular character of The Blacksmith.
The final part of this project for me was to mix & master the final demo reel to ensure the audio levels were level, I again used automation for most of the process. In the end it all came together in the form of this.
